• Ballet Arched Feet Version 1.0 EXTENDED 2015

You've seen the version on YouTube and wondered if there was any more from this artist?

Well, there is! The only thing is it's very old and degraded original footage that's been stashed away in our film archive. Add to that, the shot wasn't set up very well so we would have the best quality film result. But we've gotten so many requests over the years for the rest of what we had, so, here it is...

      OK, so here's what happened:

The original film roll was shot on DV tape (Back in the day), and it had a lot, and we mean "A LOT" of noise on it!

That's because at the time we filmed these scenes, we didn't pay the proper attention to really, really critical things such as:
Color balance, Lighting (a real biggie there), Shadows and oh so many other things. That's so unfortunate because there are some really good close up views of a variety of great performing artists feet in this archive.

Now, here's what we did about it:

Undaunted, we decided to do our level best to salvage what we could because, well, there "are" some really great views of artistic feet in our archive, and specifically with this artist! So we cleaned up as much of the noise as we new how to get away with, but with out losing too much detail as well.

Then, we left the content at the original Standard Definition size of 640 x 480 because scaling or re-sizing up the footage only lost more detail anyway. Then, we slowed it down nice and smooth as we could get it, just so you can take in all those rhythmic, artistic movements.

Beautiful, buttery smooth foot pointing and positioning at it's artistic best!

So, if you liked the YouTube version, and was curious to how much we didn't include, well, here it is! No, it's not perfectly shot, but still worth a look just the same, and the best part is you'll be supporting our current projects that ARE being shot in High Definition, and, we will be adding "4K" very soon!

So, we are working on some awesome stuff and your support will help us to keep it going!

    • Ballet Arched Feet Version 9.5 EXTENDED PART 1

This video clip is a part of the "Archived Chronicals Project":
(A segmented film short, about a man who encounters a mysterious archive room controlled by a computer named Chronicals, who forces him under it's control in various forms to watch its Chronicle of archived footage of different dancers foot types)!

This video clip entitled "Ballet Arched Feet Version 9.5 EXTENDED PART 1" is part of this vast 10 year archive of material that was filmed during our visual arts companies early experimental days.

Yup, we made a lot of mistakes during that time (and it sure shows)! But we also learned a lot too!

Much of this was originally shot on standard SD 720 x 480DV tape (gulp!), and we digitally restored the footage as best as we know how.
Still, we felt it would be nice to make available some of this archive, and there really is some good stuff here which features very good perspectives of dancers feet on these old collaborations that's worth a look, and we wanted to incorporate what we're doing now creatively with the old stuff.

So,to make it interesting, we saw an opportunity to have some fun with it all by incorporating the "Promotion Trailers" for each archive video clip into a current story, so, that's why the trailers that introduce each archive clip we make, will be a short film about "Chronicals", keeper of old video records, and the various ways she manifests her control over those who dare to venture into her curious archive!

      Now here's the deal!

The film shorts that promote each archive clip won't be made available separately, however, they will be released as a "Bonus" with each clip package along with a PDF Magazine Bonus as well!

      Pretty cool huh?

So, you will have the option of getting our collection of archive clips individually (either purchase, or rental), and you will be able to see each promotional trailer that will tell the story of Chronicals on each video clips landing page, or, you can buy the package and get each film short trailer for each clip, as well as a PDF Magazine of high quality stills from both the Trailer Films and the Archive Clips as an included bonus for you to keep!

It's a great way to support our work here at Performing Arts Foot Art Project (which we appreciate very much by the way), while getting some awesome Dancers Foot-Art!

So our goal will be for each Trailer Film to be anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes long (or longer), so with a package of say 4 archive clips that works out to an additional 12 to 20 minutes of bonus film content!

We're pretty excited about this and we think this really is a pretty cool and fun way to make our vast old archive useful, while adding our current Foot-Art ideas into the mix! So we think our "Archived Chronicals Story" will have something for everyone who's into the Performing Arts Foot Art Project!
